Unemployed man leasing billboard to seek work

Mark Heuer, an unemployed 45-year-old Kewaskum resident, is taking extreme measures to find a job in this rough economy.

Heuer, who has 15 years of experience in sales and operations management, recently leased a billboard on the east side of northbound Highway 45 at Silver Spring Drive to let people know he is looking for a job.

On his billboard message, which was displayed on Friday, March 13, Heuer lists his website (mark4hire.com) and advertises himself as being a results driven sales and operations manager.

“Unprecedented times demand unprecedented measures,” Heuer said. “I hope that this non-traditional method of job seeking will help me stand out from the crowd, both literally and figuratively. Maybe it will also demonstrate my ability to craft creative solutions to meet challenging situations.”

Heuer returned to Wisconsin in December after serving as a contractor in Iraq. He has been actively networking to find a job.

“I’m staying positive and firmly believe that a great long-term opportunity is just around the corner for me,” Heuer said. “Getting my face and web site on this billboard just might be the key that helps me reach success in my search even sooner.”
