RedPrairie drops plans to move HQ to Delafield, renews lease at Crossroads

RedPrairie Corp. has shifted course, deciding to cancel its plans to move its headquarters to a new building in Delafield. Instead, the company announced Tuesday, it has renewed its lease with Malvern, Pa.-based Liberty Property Trust for its current 96,000 square feet of space at the Crossroads Corporate Center along Interstate 94 in the Town of Delafield.

"(Last) year, RedPrairie announced intentions to move to Delafield," Mike Mayoras, chief executive officer of RedPrairie, said in a statement to the media. "While that location offered many benefits, the proposed timing of the development and economic dynamics of the proposed leasing arrangement have changed. We believe the best business decision for the company and our people is to stay in our current location. We are making renovation arrangements at our current headquarters to accommodate the growth and future needs of our organization."

In October, RedPrairie announced plans to move to a four-story, 120,000-square-foot that would anchor a new Delafield technology park that would be developed by RP Technology Development Group LLC at I-94 and County Highway C.

Delays in getting the development project started created concern that RedPrairie would not move to the new building by its 2010 target date, said company spokeswoman Kari Janavitz.

RP Technology Development Group LLC consists of George Erwin III, Rob Gerbitz, Briohn Building Corp. and Zilber Ltd.
RedPrairie has 355 employees in the Town of Brookfield.
