Friday October 17 – Saturday October 18, Gallery Night and Day, presented by the East Town and Historic Third Ward Associations. The quarterly event features 64 venues throughout the downtown Milwaukee area. Spanning Friday evening and Saturday during the day, Gallery Night and Day features free parking in the Historic Third Ward parking structures, and you can enjoy a five-stop route which will take you from the Third Ward to East Town and back, as you ride the Friday Gallery Night Xpress for free. Gallary night begins at 5 p.m on Friday and continues Saturday during the day.
Saturday October 18, Milwaukee WHEDA and 1290 WMCS Radio in Milwaukee will be hosting this year's Milwaukee Home Buyer's Expo in order to promote and increase home ownership in Milwaukee. The expo will also feature a special message by Gospel Legend Shirley Caesar. There will be six informational sessions on choosing safe mortgages, foreclosure prevention and other timely topics. Several lenders and Realtors will also be on hand to answer questions. Lunch will be available for purchase from the Parklawn Assembly of God Youth Group.
