What was the smartest thing your company did in the past yearฯ
โHiring our first marketing manager.โ
Whatโs new at your companyฯ
โWe just purchased a new subsidiary located in St. Louis, Mo. The professionals in that office, coupled with our existing team, will enhance the service we provide to our client base that is located throughout the Midwest. Together, our knowledge base and commitment to excellence will make Security MicroImaging an even better organization and provide us with further opportunities in the future.โ
Do you plan to hire any additional staff or make any significant capital investments in your company in the next yearฯ
โWeโve been planning on expanding our staff further with the addition of an HR manager and an inside sales representative for quite some time now. I believe 2007 might be our year for expanding in these areas. In our 35 years in business, we have always carefully contemplated decisions like these, and we pride ourselves in achieving steady, controlled growth. I also have been talking with an office furniture designer to update an additional area of our corporate offices. Itโs important to have a nice environment for our staff, clients, and partners to enjoy.โ
What will be your companyโs main challenges in the next yearฯ
โWith the purchase of our new subsidiary, I see some minor growing pains associated with effectively integrating newly acquired business into our day-to-day operations. I think itโs important for a business to continually assess their daily processes โ not only because weโre in the IT industry but mainly because itโs important for a companyโs survival.โ
Whatโs the hottest trend in your industryฯ
โIntegrating enterprise content management in small and medium-sized businesses. In todayโs market, there are solutions to fit every budget. Enterprise content management is no longer viewed as a luxury only
available to large organizations. In contrast, itโs a necessity to all businesses, regardless of size, because of the overwhelming volume of documents and unstructured data the typical company accumulates.โ
Do you have a business mantraฯ
โListen, anticipate, act.โ
From a business standpoint, who do you look up toฯ
โMy father. He was a successful business owner for 20+ years and taught me that business is primarily about relationships โ building them and maintaining them by simply doing what you said you were going to do.โ
What was the best advice you ever receivedฯ
โDo it right the first time.โ
What do you like to do in your free timeฯ
โI enjoy fishing with my friends. Itโs always a good day when thereโs
fishing involved.โ
