Filippo (Fil) Carini has been named chief operating officer (COO) of United Way of Greater Milwaukee.
Since joining United Way in 2003 as the chief administrative officer, Carini has performed the duties of the chief financial officer, as well as oversight of operations, information technology, facilities, and human resources.
In his new role, Carini will have greater influence over the organization’s operational controls and processes in the community impact, campaign, and marketing and communications departments. He will also maintain his current responsibilities.
“Fil has been a tremendous asset to United Way of Greater Milwaukee,” said Mary Lou Young, president and chief executive officer of the United Way chapter. “He is vigilant in his oversight of our business operations, ensuring that United Way maintains its record of excellence in fiscal responsibility and accountability.”
