Milwaukee-based accounting, tax and business consulting firm Schenck S.C. has acquired most of the practice of Milwaukee CPA firm Bonfield & Company S.C.
Only Bonfield partner Steve O’Brien and the majority of the company’s clients will be transferred to Schenck’s Milwaukee office.
The other partner, Mike Whittle, will continue to serve a small group of clients independently.
“Joining with Schenck allows us to offer our clients expanded service offerings, especially in meeting their needs for specialty services,” O’Brien said. “We know our clients will benefit from the specialized expertise we can now offer as part of Schenck.”
Bill Goodman, Schenck president, said the acquisition is part of the company’s ongoing Milwaukee market growth strategy.
Terry Strittmatter has also been named managing shareholder of the Milwaukee office.
He is a UW-Platteville graduate and has worked at Schenck since 1987. He focused on the Sheboygan market and advised clients on key strategic and operational issues, financing alternatives, and merger and acquisition activities.
“I am pleased to have Terry step into this role as the leader of our Milwaukee office,” said Bill Goodman, Schenck president. “He has gained the confidence among his clients and our internal staff as being a true leader.”
