Rytec Corp. VP of sales Anthony Burbach dies

Anthony J. “Tony” Burbach, vice president of sales for Jackson, Wisconsin-based commercial and industrial door manufacturer Rytec Corp., recently died at his home in Dubuque, Iowa, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 62.

Burbach worked for more than 15 years with Rytec, where he was a long-standing sales leader.

“‘Tony B.’ – as many knew him – was a trusted, respected and beloved member of the Rytec family and its executive leadership team,” the company said in an announcement. “His significant contributions to the company’s sales management, sales team development and market success endured over the course of his 15+ year tenure with the company.”

Burbach worked throughout his health challenges and, the company said, “always brought his characteristic work ethic, humor, and collaborative spirit to the team.”

“Tony was a true leader. He led by example and mentored people with a guiding hand. He was respected both inside and outside of Rytec. He was a friend and will be sorely missed,” said Donald Grasso, chief executive officer of Rytec.

The company also said Burbach “will be remembered for his deep love of family, wonderful sense of humor, selflessness, and generous heart.”

A Rytec scholarship will be created in Burbach’s name for both business and community recipients.
