Dallas-based Gatehouse Capital Corp. and Milwaukee-based Ruvin Development Inc. recently launched a web site for their proposed mixed-use development
that would be built northwest of Old World Third Street and Juneau Avenue in the Park East corridor in downtown Milwaukee.
The project would include a 176-room Hotel Palomar, operated by San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, 70 luxury condominiums, 55,000 square feet of office space and 17,000 square feet of retail space.
According to the project’s web site, a sales center for the The Residences at Hotel Palomar will open in April.
Also according to the web site, Gatehouse (the project’s lead developer) and Ruvin (co-developer for the project) have hired Dallas-based HKS Inc. to do the exterior design, Milwaukee-based Johnsen Schmaling Architects to design the interior of the condos and Milwaukee-based Laughlin/Constable Inc. to handle the advertising, marketing and public relations for the project. Also Mary Beth Gasper-Waite, the owner of Metro Condo Connections, will be the sales director for condos, called The Residences at Hotel Palomar.
Construction for the project could begin this summer.
