Menomonee Falls-based Kohl’s Corporation’s board of directors has added Jonas Prising, chief executive officer and board director of Milwaukee-based ManpowerGroup.
Prising’s appointment will take effect immediately. His term as a board director will run through Kohl’s 2016 annual shareholders meeting, when he will be up for re-election to the board by Kohl’s shareholders. Throughout his tenure, he will take part in the company’s Outside Director Compensation Program.
He will kick off his term by serving on Kohl’s board’s Governance and Nominating Committee.
Prising has filled a variety of executive management positions at ManpowerGroup since 1999. He holds expertise on domestic and international labor markets and employment trends and presents at conferences across the world.
“Jonas is a great addition to our board,” Kevin Mansell, Kohl’s chairman, chief executive officer and president, said in a statement. “His leadership of a major corporation with complex operations and his broad-based knowledge of workforce solutions and labor market expertise will be valuable assets to Kohl’s.”
Outside the office, he is part of the boards of JA Worldwide, JA USA, and JA of Wisconsin Inc. He also is a co-chair of MiKE, a Milwaukee organization that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship.
Kohl’s board is comprised of 10 directors.
