Bader Rutter & Associates, Milwaukee, hired Brian Aufdermauer as a senior account executive in the account management group and Juliane Travia as a copywriter in the creative group. Aufdermauer most recently served as an advertising production and traffic manager for Circular Marketing, Milwaukee. Travia previously served as a copywriter for Nelson Schmidt, Milwaukee.

Craig Stodola joined Design North, Racine, as a senior designer. Stodola holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Erica Schmelzer, a marketing communications specialist for Arandell, Menomonee Falls, and Melinda Hileman, special projects communication coordinator for Kohl’s, Menomonee Falls, will serve as co-chairs of the board for directors for the Southeastern Wisconsin Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Young Professionals, Milwaukee. Hileman will also serve as treasurer. Kimberly Nielsen, proposal coordinator for STS Consultants, Milwaukee, will serve as secretary. Sam Sova, communications specialist for Fiserv, Brookfield, will serve as programs chair. Laurie Peterson, account coordinator for Zeppos & Associates, Milwaukee, will serve as promotions director and Sarah Nohr, account service coordinator for The Roberts Group, Waukesha, will serve as membership development chair.

Mark Gobrial joined Brady Marketing Group, Menomonee Falls, as a research analyst in the target marketing department. Gobrial holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from UW-Milwaukee.

Creatonomy, Milwaukee, hired Katina Jordan as art director and Deaduri Gales as an office administrator. Jordan has 10 years of experience in the advertising industry. Prior to joining Creatonomy, Gales served as an executive assistant and development liaison for the Florentine Opera, Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Division of Clear Channel Outdoor, San Antonio, promoted Shelley Reed to vice president of sales and marketing.

Boelter + Lincoln, Milwaukee, hired Emily Holcomb as public relations account coordinator, Craig Trindl as account executive and promoted Julie Wagner to media supervisor. Holocomb holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from UW-Milwaukee. Prior to joining Boelter + Lincoln, Trindl served as an assistant account manager for the Milwaukee office of Arnold Worldwide, Boston. Wagner joined Boelter + Lincoln in 2005 and most recently served as senior media planner and buyer.

Banking & Finance

The Wauwatosa branch of Central States Mortgage, Milwaukee, hired Shawn King and Kimberly Heun as mortgage consultants. King has more than two years of mortgage loan experience. Heun has more than four years of mortgage loan experience.

Building & Construction

The Brookfield office M. A. Mortenson, Minneapolis, hired Brian Hick as a mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer; Roberta Oldenburg as design phase coordinator and John Ruether as project engineer. Hick holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic management from Southern Illinois University. Oldenburg holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from UW-Milwaukee. Ruether holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

The Brookfield office of J.P. Cullen & Sons, Janesville, hired Melissa Franken and Katie Stefan as administrative assistants. Franken holds a bachelor’s degree in German & European studies from UW-Madison. Stefan holds an associate’s degree in administrative assistance from Waukesha County Technical College. Prior to joining J.P. Cullen, Stefan worked for American Transmission, Waukesha.

CG Schmidt, Milwaukee, promoted Eric Ellison and Eric Schmidt to senior project managers, Patrick Schultz to project manager and Emilio Ramirez to assistant project manager. Ellison joined CG Schmidt in 2000. Schmidt joined the firm in 1991 and has more than 13 years of construction experience. Schultz has been with CG Schmidt since 2005 and has seven years of experience in the construction industry. Ramirez joined the firm in 2006 and most recently served as project engineer.

Consulting

Chris Carman joined ActionCoach, Hubertus, as an independent franchisor and certified business coach. Carman has more than 15 years of experience in business management.

Engineering

Ross Knodl, technology coordinator of National Survey & Engineering, a division of R.A. Smith & Associates, Brookfield, will serve as president of the Milwaukee Chapter of the Society of Southeastern Wisconsin Land Surveyors. Eric Sturm, survey project manager for National Survey & Engineering, was elected president of the Southeast Chapter of the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors and Dean Hintz, project field supervisor for National Survey & Engineering, will serve as vice president of the Southeast Chapter of the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors.

Amy Schneider joined National Survey & Engineering, a division of R.A. Smith & Associates, Brookfield, as a landscape architect. Schneider has more than three years of experience and most recently served as a landscape architect for Land Architects, Ann Arbor, Mich. She holds a bachelor’s degree in natural resources and a master’s degree in landscape architecture from University of Michigan.

Health Care

Oakleigh Ryan joined Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Glendale, as vice president of its service excellence initiative. Ryan serves as the knowledge management leader and account leader for the Studer Group, Gulf Breeze, Fla. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Stanford University and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.

Insurance

John Linscott, Jr. joined the board of directors for Badger Mutual Insurance, Milwaukee. Linscott has served as a physician at Lakeshore Medical Clinic, South Milwaukee, since 1991. He holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Ohio University and a medical degree from St. George University.

The Milwaukee office of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs (HRH), Glen Allen, Va., hired Susan Ledvina as an account representative in the employee benefits area and Carolyn Becker as an executive assistant and marketing coordinator.

Legal Services

Von Briesen & Roper, Milwaukee, hired William Croke, John Feldbruegge, Philip Reid, Patrick Cavanaugh Brennan and Peter Ramirez as shareholders and Jessica Swietlik, Anne Wal and Sara Harris as associates. Croke, Feldbruegge, Reid, Brennan, Ramirez and Swietlik joined the litigation and risk management practice group. Wal joined the real estate, construction and banking, bankruptcy and business restructuring sections. Harris joined the labor and employment and compensation and benefits sections.

Andrew McConnell will serve as president of the board of directors for Boyle, Fredrickson, Newholm, Stein & Gratz, Milwaukee. Timothy Newholm joined the board. McConnell has been with the firm since 2001 and holds a law degree from University of Wisconsin School of Law. Newholm co-founded the firm and holds a law degree from George Mason University School of Law.

Steven Glaser joined Quarles & Brady, Milwaukee, as a partner in the corporate services group. Prior to joining the firm, Glaser was a shareholder with Davis & Kuelthau, Milwaukee. He holds a bachelor’s degree from UW-Madison and a law degree from Marquette University Law School.

Manufacturing

Kendall Packaging, Mequon, appointed James Baudhuin assistant to the president and chief executive officer. Baudhuin has been with Kendall Packaging since 1989 and most recently served as chief financial officer.

Kimberly Wacker joined The Spancrete Group, Waukesha, as director of marketing and business development. Wacker has more than nine years of strategic marketing experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UW-Whitewater and a master’s degree in business administration from Marquette University.

Media

Kalmbach Publishing, Waukesha promoted Brian Schmidt to director of operations. Schmidt has been with Kalmbach for 15 years and most recently served as assistant controller.

Technology

Stratagem, Menomonee Falls, promoted Jim Kurtz to corporate services executive and an officer of the company and hired Charmaine Schaff as finance controller. Kurtz joined Stratagem in 2006 and most recently served as director of business development. He has 35 years of experience in business and information technology. Schaff most recently held managerial and analytical positions for SABMiller, London.
