Charlie Keepman co-founded Delafield-based Evans Transportation Services with Marty Johnson in 1985. Today, the third-party logistics and transportation management services company has 120 employees and customers across North America.
In 2018, Keepman propelled Evans into its next generation of growth by purchasing Johnson’s share of the business and passing the leadership torch to his son, Ryan Keepman.
With Charlie Keepman serving as chairman for the past five years, the company has continued to grow from about $100 million in annual revenue to nearly $400 million, according to Charles Miller, Evans’ chief commercial officer.
“His encouragement, wisdom and commitment to doing things the right way continues to help guide his son Ryan, who is CEO, and the rest of the team at Evans,” said Miller. “There is no better resource for advice on life for many of our teammates. He is steady, ever-positive, generous and has faith.”
