Nicole Masnica is a partner at Milwaukee-based Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown LLP in the criminal, white-collar and appellate defense team at the firm. She specializes in complex trial level litigation and appeals in serious felonies and high-profile cases.
“After several successful appellate victories for inmates, she now receives most of her referrals from former satisfied clients that have been freed,” said Britt Frank, marketing director for Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown.
Prior to joining the firm, Nicole spent nine years representing individuals in all stages of criminal litigation at the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office, from pre-charging conferences to appellate representation to administrative revocation proceedings.
Masnica handles both trial and appellate matters in state and federal-level criminal proceedings. She has presented multiple cases to a jury with successful outcomes, achieved relief for many clients in postconviction and appellate proceedings and has argued before the Wisconsin Supreme Court on multiple occasions.
Recent honors that Masnica has received for her trial skills include 2024 Best Lawyers in America, Criminal Defense and the 2023 Kuchler-Nicholson-Stilling Sensitive Crimes Award.
