Menomonee Falls-based Kohl’s Department Stores is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning to celebrate the opening of its new store in Burlington. The company now has about 1,000 stores across the U.S.
The Burlington store is located at 1032 Milwaukee Ave. along Highway 36 on the northeast side of the city. Other big box stores that have opened along Highway 36 in Burlington in recent years include Wal-Mart and Menards.
About 130 people will work at the Kohl’s store in Burlington. Kohl’s is also opening a store in Manitowoc this fall. With the addition of those two stores, Kohl’s now has 39 stores in the state.
