Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life? Being fit allows me to still see my toes.
How does personal fitness affect your work life? Being fit helps me do my best in three areas. 1- My energy level stays up throughout the day when Iรญm feeling fit; 2- I believe Iรญm much better at problem solving when Iรญve maintained my workout schedule; 3- Working out helps me cope with stress in a very healthy way. I think everyone on our team appreciates when Iรญm not stressed.
How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization? Weรญre a small group, so whenever one person is ill we all feel it. For us, itรญs about taking small steps to improved health. None of us are running marathons, yet.
What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative? It is worth the effort. Small steps today will pay dividends in your future.
