Kondex to expand by 50 percent

Lomira-based Kondex Corporation announced it plans to add 58,000 square feet to its manufacturing facility by December.
“This addition adds 50 percent on to our current manufacturing capabilities,” said Jim Wessing, Kondex president. “Most of it is going to be used for expansion of our current product lines.”
Kondex manufactures parts for OEMs in the agriculture, lawn and turf, construction, forestry and biofuel industries. The expansion is a result of larger work orders from customers who are consolidating suppliers over the next two to three years.
“What we’re seeing with our customers is they have us ranked as one of their top suppliers in this marketplace and they’re also seeing a growth in their business,” Wessing said. “We’re anticipating more work coming from them because they’re seeing it from their customers.”
Strong growth in the agriculture industry as well as opportunities for a deeper presence in the mining and construction industries mean Kondex plans to grow the company by 50 percent in the next three to four years, said Mike Frydryk, vice president of human resources and organizational development.
Wessing declined to release the exact cost of the multi-million dollar expansion or the number of jobs that will be created as a result.
