Kohl’s Corp. has launched a new partnership in an effort to take its health and wellness offerings to another level.

The Menomonee Falls-based retailer today announced it has teamed up with New York-based global weight loss company Weight Watchers, which recently rebranded as WW, to roll out a new line of products and services focused on the ever-growing trend toward health and wellness.

A line of kitchenware, called WW Healthy Kitchen, will include cookware and items for food preparation and storage, all “designed to make healthy cooking and eating easier,” according to the announcement.

The collection, which will be sold in select stores and on Kohl’s website beginning in June, joins a line of “Healthy Living” products currently sold at the store, including activewear, fitness wearables, aromatherapy and fitness equipment.

“We want to encourage families to lead healthy and fulfilled lives, and a strategic partnership with WW provides the opportunity to further advocate for the health and wellbeing of Kohl’s customers and our associates,” said Michelle Gass, chief executive officer at Kohl’s. “As a destination for active and wellness for the entire family, we continue to seek out new ideas that support our customers’ health goals.”

As part of the partnership, Kohl’s plans to pilot an 1,800-square-foot “community space”, called WW Studio, at one of its Chicago-area stores. It will be used for WW programs, including wellness workshops for local WW members.

Hosting those workshops will be a new way for WW to connect with its customer base, said president and CEO Mindy Grossman.

“As we aim to become the world’s partner in wellness, we are continuously looking for ways to make wellness more accessible,” Grossman said. “By collaborating with Kohl’s, we will give people new experiences and ways to engage with WW as we build our wellness ecosystem, while getting access to unique products and tools to help them on their journey.”

Kohl’s last year announced another high-profile collaboration with HGTV personalities Drew and Jonathan Scott to launch Scott Living at Kohl’s, a new home decor line that will be available this fall in stores and online.
