The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County has partnered with Cricket Wireless and Target Corp. to assist with its annual Christmas campaign.
Cricket has donated telephones to assist with communication efforts between organizers and volunteers located at Salvation Army Red Kettle locations.
“We are grateful to Cricket for understanding our need and providing telephones for our annual Christmas Campaign,” said Major Robert Thomson, the Salvation Army’s divisional commander for Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
Donations to Red Kettles will sustain critical services and programs such as Toy Shop, Christmas Family Feast, emergency shelter, medical, food pantries, and meals to the homeless and care to our military veterans.
Target agreed to donate $1 up to $400,000 for anyone who purchased a Target GiftCard of $20 or more in the store or online by Nov. 20.
Anyone can donate to the Salvation Army and encourage others to do so online by creating Virtual Red Kettles. For more information, call (414) 302-4300.
