Concordia to build baseball stadium in Mequon

Concordia University of Wisconsin plans to build a $3.5 million baseball stadium on its campus at 12800 N. Lake Shore Dr. in Mequon.
The plans for the stadium were approved recently by the Mequon Common Council.
The stadium will have 2,000 seats, lights and a press box.
Concordia’s men’s baseball team will play at the stadium. It could also be used by a team from the Wooden Bat League, which feature college baseball players.
The Wooden Bat League team would be owned by James Kacmarcik, the president of Grafton-based Kapco Metal Stampings Inc. Kacmarcik pledged $1 million to the baseball stadium project.
Concordia needs to raise an additional $2.5 million for the stadium.
