Chrysler leads pace among automakers

Menomonee Falls-based Actuant Corp. reported a fiscal fourth quarter net loss of $16.5 million, or 23 cents per share, compared with a net profit of $41.4 million, or 55 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.

The Milwaukee area manufacturing sector continued to languish this month, according to a report released by the Institute for Supply Management-Milwaukee.

Campbell’s to move spice production to Milwaukee

Campbell Soup Company announced Thursday it will close its South Plainfield, N.J., spice plant and consolidate spice production at its Milwaukee plant.
The move makes Milwaukee's spice facility, 500 West Edgerton Ave., the major food manufacturer's only spice operation supplying its U.S. thermal plants.

Generac raises outlook

Waukesha-based generator manufacturer Generac has raised its outlook for 2012 in light of strong financial results it expects for the third quarter.
