Jim Villa was recently named the new president of the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW). He replaces Sandi Anderson, who left the job during the fall to become the director of special interest and support groups for the Milwaukee Art Museum.
In addition, CARW recently moved its offices from the Empire Building at 710 N. Plankinton Ave. in downtown Milwaukee to the Realtor Building at 12300 W. Center St. in Wauwatosa. The building is owned by Greater Milwaukee Area Realtors.
Villa has served in the administrations of former Gov. Tommy Thompson and Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker. He has advised and staffed legislative leaders in Madison and operated his own consulting business, which focused on organizational and business operations, campaign management and public relations/marketing for small businesses, associations, organizations and non-profits.
"(CARW) members are leaders in our community and are on the front lines of building our state," Villa said. "I’m honored to serve as their president and look forward to building an even stronger association, while further cultivating partnerships with our industry partners, the media and community organizations."
