The Milwaukee Bucks released a set of new renderings for the planned downtown Milwaukee arena Thursday night, providing a peak inside select areas of the $524 million facility.
The preliminary images show proposed designs for the main concourse along the south side of the arena, an event-level club near the Bucks’ tunnel, a concourse-level bar with views to the court, and the “panorama club” at the top of the seating bowl.
The club space rendering is representative of a handful of exclusive spaces in the building.
The concourse-level bar and “panorama club” are both examples of amenity spaces in the arena that the Bucks say will be accessible to all spectators.
The Bucks will break ground on the 714,000-square-foot arena on June 18, with a citywide block party. The arena will be home to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Marquette University men’s basketball team and will also host entertainment events, hockey games, concerts and family shows.
The Milwaukee Admirals will not play at the arena – they will move to the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena next season.
The new Bucks arena was designed by Populous, Eppstein Uhen and HNTB. Construction is scheduled to be completed in time for the start of the 2018-19 NBA season.
