- Monday, Nov. 15 The Medical College of Wisconsin will host it’s 2010 Health Care dinner at the Pfister Hotel beginning at 6 p.m. Dr. Charles Krauthammer, syndicated columnist for The Washington Post, will be the keynote speaker for the event. Krauthammer is the winner of the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for distinguished commentary and was named by The Financial Times as the most influential commentator in America. His presentation will be centered around politics in Washington. The event will also include presentation of the Warren P. Knowles Humanitarian Award to Ginny and Mike Bolger, both with a long history of contributions to the Medical College and the community. The award honors an individual or organization from Wisconsin with a commitment to health-related issues and whose work reflects the dedication to public service and education marking the career of Governor Warren P. Knowles. The event is hosted by the Medical College’s Digestive Disease Center Advisory Board and will help raise awareness and funds for digestive disease research. Individual tickets can be purchased for $300 or tables of ten can be purchased for $5,000. - Friday, Nov. 19 The IBA will host recently re-elected Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke at its gathering at the Wisconsin Club from 7 to 9 a.m.. Sherriff Clark will discuss “Poverty, Law Enforcement and the Status of Milwaukee County.” Cost to attend is $30.00 for members and $40.00 for guests. - Saturday, Nov. 20 Downtown Racine Corporation will host its fourth and final Downtown Gallery Night from 6 to 9 p.m. The downtown gallery night will feature works from a variety of local artists in a wide array of mediums. The event is free to attend and is open to the public. Works of art will be available for purchase, a map detailing the gallery locations and exhibits can be viewed at www.racinegallerynight.com
- Friday, Dec. 3 Pantheon BC will host a seminar entitled “Reinventing Your Business for the Next Decade,” from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at U.S. Bank building in Brookfield Square, 205 N. Mooreland Road. The seminar will examine how companies can adapt to a changed marketplace by developing a defined mission, vision and management strategy.
