  • Thursday, Nov. 5 The Waukesha Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will hold its monthly education program at the Venic Club, 1905 Calhoun Road, beginning at 5:30 p.m. This month’s program is entitled “Fly High- Soar with Exceptional Support will be presented by Nancy Arnold, CPS/CAP and secretary to the associate director at the Madison VA hospital. The program will provide tools and ideas for those extras that executives appreciate, covering calendar management, meetings, travel coordination, and more.  Cost to attend is $15 for IAAP Chapter Members, $13 for IAAP Student Members  and guests or $18 for IAAP Association or Division Member at Large. Silver Spring Dr., Menomonee Falls from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are available in advance for $40 per person, $75 for a pair or at the door for $50 per person.

  • Tuesday, Nov. 17, The Management Association will host a presentation by Ralph Pontillo, CEO of the Manufacturers and Business Association (MBA) in Erie, Pa. He will discuss an overview for business leaders on the systematic methodology of Blue Ocean Strategy at MRA’s Conference Center in Waukesha from 9-11 a.m. MBA is the only training site in the U.S. certified to teach the Blue Ocean Strategy approach and Pontillo is a nationally recognized leader in its application. Popularized in the book by W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne, adopting a Blue Ocean Strategy allows companies to break away from the competition and shrinking markets by moving into new markets in which there are no competitors.
