Doug Melvin, executive vice president and general manager of the Milwaukee Brewers, along with his wife Ellen, will host a series of fundraising events to benefit the Southeastern Wisconsin Affiliate of Komen for the Cure and After Breast Cancer Diagnosis.
“This is a cause very dear to our hearts,” Doug Melvin said. “Ellen’s mother, Elsie Schultz, passed away due to breast cancer in 1991 and these efforts are in her memory as well as the countless others who have suffered from this terrible disease. The Milwaukee community has always been supportive of this cause and we look forward to another great year of giving back.”
On Saturday, May 28 when the Brewers take on the San Francisco Giants, the melvins will auction off a framed autographed in game jersey. The Melvins will auction a second jersey off on Saturday, June 25 when the Brewers play the Minnesota Twins.

The first raffle will take place on Saturday, May 28 when the Brewers take on the San Francisco Giants. The second raffle will be staged on Saturday, June 25 when the Brewers play the Minnesota Twins.
