BloodCenter of Wisconsin to form strategic alliance with Michigan blood center

The BloodCenter of Wisconsin (BCW) has announced that Grand Rapids-based Michigan Blood will become a new affiliate of Centers for Transfusion and Transplant Medicine (CTTM), a strategic alliance formed in 2012.

Michigan Blood joins BCW and Aurora, Ill.-based Heartland Blood Centers as CTTM’s third affiliate.

“CTTM is delighted to be partnering with one of the country’s outstanding blood service organizations which shares our values and commitment to the community,” according to Jacquelyn Fredrick, president and CEO of BloodCenter of Wisconsin and president and CEO of CTTM.  “The addition of Michigan Blood also marks a milestone in CTTM’s effort to provide innovative transfusion medicine and transplant solutions for health systems that span multiple states. These benefits make each affiliate stronger and better able to serve our communities’ healthcare needs.”
