A three-building, 40-unit, market-rate apartment development is planned just north of the Rockwell Automation corporate headquarters in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point neighborhood.
The project is planned for 0.89-acre lot at 1029 S. 1st St., which is currently used as a surface parking lot and is located on the north side of West Washington Street between South 1st and South 2nd streets.
The site, which has an assessed value of $366,500, is owned by Horner Sod Farms LLP, according to city records. The registered agent for Horner Sod Farms is Michael Sanfelippo, owner of American United Taxi Cab Service.

The apartment development planned for the site includes a mix of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, according to the plans submitted to the city. The buildings would have 47 interior parking spaces, 54 exterior parking spaces, and community, exercise and retail spaces.
