Notable Veteran Executives: Jason Young

Class of 2024

Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps, 1994-2000; Sergeant, Wisconsin Army National Guard, 2000-07

Jason Young, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and Wisconsin Army National Guard, took the helm as president and CEO of Milwaukee-based 3Up Metal Works in 2020.

“Passionate about veterans’ causes, Jason runs a relationship-oriented business that seeks to engage and partner with other veteran-owned operations. He educates customers on sourcing from veteran-operated vendors and guides these companies to use resources available,” said Bryan Regnier, business development director of Selig Leasing Co.

Young served as a sergeant in the Marine Corps from 1994-2000 and as a sergeant in the Wisconsin Army National Guard from 2000-07. While in the Marines, he served in the 11th Marines Artillery and as Marine Embassy Security in Guatemala City and Kazakhstan. While in the National Guard, he served as gun chief with the 126th Field Artillery Unit and in Operation Iraqi Freedom, 5th and 10th Group SF Support at Camp Severson in Iraq.

Young co-chairs the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center’s Global War on Terror Veteran Advisory Council, which advises the center about events and activities that further its goals.

“Jason embodies the ideal of a citizen who served his country and used the discipline and perseverance he learned to forge a successful career later in life. He never forgets his days in uniform and will undoubtedly keep working to aid as many fellow veterans as possible,” said Regnier.
