Grover Corp. plans to add 109 jobs at its new Glendale facility over the next five years with the support of $750,000 in tax credits from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.

The piston and sealing ring manufacturer is currently based on the south side of Milwaukee at 2759 S. 28th St., but submitted plans in August to occupy the former Pentair facility in Glendale. The company plans to move 70 full-time employees from Milwaukee and another 14 from Texas into the facility.

“We decided to consolidate operations to streamline the organization and transform our company into a high-performing organization where great people love to come to work,” said Stuart Banghart, Grover president. “We are investing in advanced manufacturing so that we can continue serving our customers worldwide with the highest service levels and globally competitive products.”

The company plans to be fully operation in the Glendale facility by early 2018. The plans submitted to Glendale included a potential 50 percent increase in sales over the next three years and WEDC’s announcement said much of the growth would come from increase international sales.

The former Pentair facility at 5730 N. Glen Park Road was left vacant after Pentair Water Filtration announced earlier this year it would consolidate its Wisconsin operations into the Bishop’s Woods office park and other manufacturing facilities in Brookfield.
