Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc planning expansion

Would include 44 apartments

Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc is planning a 134,495-square-foot expansion that will include 44 new apartments and an addition to its wellness center.

Lutheran Homes, also known as Shorehaven, offers health and rehabilitation, memory care, assisted and independent living.

The home is located on a 17-acre campus at 1305 W. Wisconsin Ave. The expansion would be built on the north side of the campus, across the street at 1306 W. Wisconsin Ave.

The expansion would include:

  • A three-story, 72,710-square-foot, 44-unit apartment building, northwest of the existing life enrichment center.
  • A one-story, 10,985-square-foot commons building that would include a restaurant and an outdoor deck with views of Lac La Belle Lake.
  • A one-story, 10,655-square-foot wellness center addition.
  • A picnic pavilion.

Lutheran Homes has submitted development review plans to the Oconomowoc Plan Commission for review Feb. 10.
