Alliant Energy is facing a fight over its proposal to build a power plant in the Beloit area.
We Energies, Milwaukee, says now that it has merged with Wisconsin Public Service Corp., Green Bay, the combined utility company appears to have a big enough power supply to serve its own customers — and to handle any of Alliant’s needs — for nearly a decade to come.
