Lake Forest, Ill.-based Hospira Inc. is considering plans to lease an 82,104-square-foot industrial building at 10616 82nd Ave., Pleasant Prairie. The building, called Towne Industrial III, was built by Zilber Ltd.‘s Town Investments division, recently re-named Zilber Property Group, in 2008.
The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission this week approved a site and operational plan for Hospira to occupy the building and use it as a warehouse and distribution facility.
However, the deal with Hospira is not finalized, said Zilber vice president Mike Mervis.
“We are still negotiating,” he said. “We don’t have a deal.”
Hospira makes specialty injectable pharmaceuticals and drug delivery equipment.
The company, a spinoff of Abbott Laboratories, already has a warehouse and distribution facility at 10501 80th Ave. in Pleasant Prairie. The Towne Industrial III building would provide an additional Pleasant Prairie warehouse and distribution facility for the company.
