Wauwatosa-based WaterStone Bank has hired Jeff Jarecki as vice president of business banking. Jarecki previously served as vice president, senior commercial lender at Layton State Bank in New Berlin. In his new role, Jarecki will focus on helping business owners in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties secure equipment loans, lines of credit and owner-occupied real estate loans. He holds a bachelor’s in business administration-marketing from Marquette University and attended University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Graduate School of Banking.
Waukesha-based Paramount Financial Strategies LLC has hired Matthew Goelzer and Bruce Kuhs as associates on the Elite Producer Group. Associates of the firm are registered with AXA Advisors LLC. Goelzer and Kuhs will continue to work with clients to help them define their financial goals and create strategies to reach those goals. Goelzer joined AXA Advisors in 2008, and has several years of experience in corporate finance. Kuhs joined AXA in 1991 and is a graduate of Ripon College.
Kevin Breckenfelder has been named regional sales manager at BancMutual Financial & Insurance Services Inc., the insurance and wealth management services arm of Brown Deer-based Bank Mutual Corp. He has more than 10 years of financial services experience, most recently as private client advisor at JPMorgan Chase. Breckenfelder holds a degree from Concordia University in Mequon. In his new role, he will be responsible for educating and developing bankers and investment advisors to expand investment and insurance products in 17 of Bank Mutual’s offices in southeastern Wisconsin.
Milwaukee-based Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corp. has hired Stephen Mackey as executive vice president-chief risk officer. Mackey replaces Lawrence Pierzchalski, who is retiring. Mackey has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently as managing director, Firmwide Market Risk, at JPMorgan Chase & Co. He holds a bachelor’s in accounting from Michigan State University and a master’s in finance from The George Washington University.
