The Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) attained a significant milestone Monday night by reaching $1 million in gross revenue from the 2012 BCF 50/50 Raffle.
The milestone was reached more than a month earlier than in 2011.
Half of the proceeds fund grants to nonprofit organizations that provide quality programming focusing on health, education, recreation and basic needs.
The largest take home prize from this season was over $28,000 which occurred on Opening Day.
Now in its third season, tickets for the BCF 50/50 Raffle are sold throughout Miller Park from the time gates open during every Brewers home game. For each game, half of the net proceeds are given to a lucky fan and the other half benefit Brewers Community Foundation.
Some of the nonprofit programs previously supported by the Foundation include Arts at Large, Beckum Stapleton Little League, Boys & Girls Club, COA, Felix Mantilla Little League, Girl Scouts of Milwaukee, Hunger Task Force, Habitat for Humanity, Make-a-Wish, Sojourner Truth House, Susan G. Komen, UPAF, United Way, YMCA and YWCA.
Brewers Community Foundation Inc. is the official charitable arm of the Milwaukee Brewers.
