Crate plant to open on city’s northwest side

Bentley World Packaging recently purchased a 40,000-square-foot industrial building at 9411 W. Fond du Lac Ave. in Milwaukee from Port Washington State Bank, which acquired the building when it went into foreclosure. The building was sold for $625,000.

Bently World Packaging was represented by Kevin Barry and Kurt Van Dyke of Cassidy Turley Barry. Mark Schnoll of Inland Companies represented Port Washington State Bank.
Bentley World Packaging is an investor in a new business that will manufacture reusable crates at the facility, said Bentley chief financial officer Todd Bentley.

The operation will have 8 to 10 employees and should be up and running this summer, he said.

The building has been mostly vacant for years. Prior to the sale to Bentley it was partially occupied on a month-to-month lease by a tenant that used it for storage.
