Wave executives recognized for success

Three Milwaukee Wave executives were honored with achievement awards.

Jim Lindenberg, owner of the Milwaukee Wave received the Distinguished Alumni Award from UW-Whitewater. Keith Tozer, head coach and Larry Sayles, athletic director, received awards from the Wisconsin Soccer Association. Tozer was inducted in the WSA Hall of Fame and Sayles received the Meritorious Service Award.
The UW-Whitewater Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to a graduate of UW-Whitewater who has exhibited distinguished professional personal and career achievement and is recognized for accomplishments in their field.
Tozer was inducted into the Wisconsin Soccer Association’s Hall of Fame for his unprecedented success as the Coach. Tozer surpassed the 700 all-time wins this past season. He is by far the most successful soccer coach in North American indoor soccer history. He has received eight “Coach of the Year” awards, won six league titles and recorded 24 winning seasons.
Sayles received the Meritorious Service Award is given by the Wisconsin Soccer Association’s Hall of Fame Committee to an individual who has contributed to the promotion and development of Wisconsin Soccer Association programs over a long period of time.
