Journey House celebrated the official opening of the Journey House Packers Field at Milwaukee’s Mitchell Park on Thursday with a ceremony attended by an all-star lineup, including Gov. Scott Walker, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele, Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy Romo West and Green Bay Packers president and chief executive officer Mark Murphy.
The field, which Murphy deemed “the field of dreams” during his keynote speech at the celebration, is a synthetic turf football field that the Packers donated to Journey House to support the Journey House Youth Football and Cheerleading Program and League.
