Brilliant DPI
AmeriSign & Graphics, a full-service sign, design, digital imaging and offset printing company based in Glendale, has changed its name to Brilliant DPI. The company’s name change was largely prompted by a push to distinguish its services from national sign franchises and quick printers. With the new name, the company hopes to secure more high-end design and sign jobs. Brilliant DPI specializes in structural and monument signage, point of purchase displays, stationary, die-cut graphics, catalogs, vehicle graphics, posters and banners. The company’s design services encompass logos, product catalogs, labels and marketing materials.

Gener8tor
Wisconsin-based startup accelerator Gener8tor has launched its Winter 2014 Program with five early-stage companies looking to develop their business models and operations. The 12-week program, sponsored by American Family Insurance, kicked off on Jan. 3 with Milwaukee-based Edison DC Systems; Cambridge, Mass.-based Liv Blends; Des Moines, Iowa-based Men’s Style Lab; Monterrey, Mexico-based Driblet; and Chicago-based Review Trackers. Within the program, Gener8tor makes an initial $20,000 cash investment, and each startup also receives $50,000 of follow-on investment from Gener8tor and its investment partner, Angels on the Water. On April 3, each company will have an opportunity to pitch its concept to an audience of community members and potential investors during a “Launch Day” event. More than 380 startup companies applied for the winter program, which is based out of Madison and marks Gener8tor’s fourth program. The accelerator’s summer programs are based in Milwaukee. Since June 2012, the 18 startup companies from the previous programs have raised more than $10 million in financing and created nearly 100 jobs.
