The Zilli Hospitality Group of Waukesha plans to open a new venue in Milwaukee. Zilli Lake & Gardens will occupy the space currently known as Coast – A Zilli Restaurant at 931 E. Wisconsin Ave.
"After receiving an overwhelming demand for special and corporate events and weddings, we are excited to respond to the greater Milwaukee community by providing a new venue," said chief executive officer Jim Zilli.
Zilli Lake & Gardens will provide a venue-only atmosphere for events and special occasions such as wedding receptions, corporate luncheons and parties.
Coast – A Zilli Restaurant will start renovations to be converted to Zilli Lake & Gardens Jan. 1, 2009, and will be closed to the public thereafter until it opens as the new venue.
"Zilli Lake & Gardens will be the only Milwaukee venue to offer a stunning lake view, outdoor garden space and a beautiful view of the Calatrava Brise d’Soleil (at the Milwaukee Art Museum)," Zilli said.
Zilli Lake & Gardens already has nine events booked for 2009.
