Miller will be Milwaukee‘s 36th Postmaster
Charles (Charley) Miller
recently became the 36th person to take the oath of Postmaster since the Milwaukee Post Office was established in 1835. Miller will be responsible for mail delivery and retail sales at the main post office and 20 additional post offices within the Milwaukee city limits. The Milwaukee Post Office delivers more than a billion pieces of mail a year to more than 490,000 addresses and generates more than $400 million in sales from postage and related products and services. Miller began his career with the U.S. Postal Service in 1984 as a letter carrier at the Gaffney Branch Post Office in St. Louis, Mo. He has advanced through positions of increased responsibility in the agency.

Maegli is new president of Milwaukee NAWBO

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)-Greater Milwaukee today announced its 2008-2009 board of directors. The president and membership director is Kris Maegli of Career Strategies Inc. in New Berlin. Other members of the board include: past president and special events director Lisa Wise of Blue Iris Graphics, West Bend; president-elect and program director Lisa Gehrke of Gehrke & Associates SC, Wauwatosa; treasurer, corporate development director and historian Sue Denzine of Kolb + Co., Brookfield; secretary Marsha Kopan of Executive Secretarial Services, West Allis; legislative director Jennifer Walther of Mawicke & Goisman S.C., Milwaukee; and mentoring/team building director Patty Hugi of ETA Technology Services, Jackson. NAWBO-Greater Milwaukee is a community of women entrepreneurs and a catalyst for its members’ success.
