The Fox Run Shopping Center in Waukesha has been sold to an Illinois investor for $4.8 million, according to state records.
Winfox LLC, purchased the 115,705-square-foot shopping center from  2300 W. St. Paul LLC and NKass Company LLC. Winfox LLC, is registered to Wintrust, a Rosemont, Ill-based financial holding company.
The shopping center, located at 2300 W. St. Paul Ave., sits on 13.4 acres on the northwest corner of  West St. Paul Avenue and West Sunset Drive, and is assessed by Waukesha County at $2.7 million.
It includes a Sentry grocery store and a Denny’s restaurant.
The property has struggled. In 2014, North Shore Bank & Trust filed a foreclosure lawsuit against the owners for $4.7 million.
Last week, a retail center at 2140 W. St. Paul sold to an undisclosed buyer for $3.95 million. The 25,040-square-foot property is assessed by Waukesha County for $2.66 million and is attached to a Kohl’s store, which was not part of the deal. It is located just north of Fox Run Shopping Center.
