Walmart has submitted plans to build a 147,848-square-foot supercenter store on a 16-acre site at 15375 W. Greenfield Ave. in New Berlin. The Charcoal Grill restaurant at that location will be demolished to make way for the Walmart store.

The store will replace the Walmart store located at 15333 W. National Ave. in New Berlin. Walmart leases that space. Employees at the existing store will be offered jobs at the new store, the company said in information submitted to the city. About 50 to 100 additional jobs will be created at the new store, the company said.
