"I believe the hotel's location and historic location is unlike any other in the city," General Manager Michael Aftanski said in a written statement. "We are ready to welcome visitors to Milwaukee as well as local residents who want to stay close to all of the action downtown."
Paul Upchurch, president and CEO of VISIT Milwaukee, said he's excited to have another hotel connected to the Wisconsin Center.
"SpringHill Suites is a high quality, all suites product that adds nicely to the mix of convention hotels," Upchurch said. "We know that meeting planners prefer hotels at or connected to the Convention Center, and SpringHill Suites gives us another option to meet that need."
