Hobbies and Interests: "Running, boating on Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee River, managing my fantasy football team in our office league (currently in 1st place)."

What are you working on? "Marketing various retail centers and developments throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Also working with several retail and restaurant chains expanding in the market."

How does the market look to you? "Despite the negative headlines there are still opportunities in this market. I have recently seen some national retailers look to Wisconsin for expansion while avoiding other markets where the swings are more dramatic. There have been several new shopping center formats added to our market giving retailers expansion opportunities that did not previously exist. Examples include Bayshore, additional development at Mayfair and Brookfield Square, several Target anchored projects currently under construction, and the Wal-Mart/ Sam’s Club anchored Somers Market Center development on Highway 31 in Somers (Kenosha County). 2009 will be a year of adding value to established properties and filling vacancies created by some of the retail fallout."

What was the best deal you’ve ever been involved in? "The redevelopment of the former Capitol Court Mall into Midtown Center. It was an incredible experience to be part of the team that repositioned this property and brought new retailers to an underserved densely populated market. The project involved the development, leasing, and investment sale of approximately 500,000 square feet of new retail space. I formed many relationships while working on this project that have led to other opportunities."
