ProHealth Care paid $6.995 million to purchase the 14-acre site in Pewaukee where it plans to build a $70 million, 116,000-square-foot, cancer center, according to state records filed Monday.
The site is located at N16 W24132 Prairie Ct., just north of the Pewaukee Road and I-94 interchange. The property, which includes a two-story office building, was sold to ProHealth Care by Gerald Nell Inc.
The property was sold for 54 percent above its assessed value of $4.55 million, according to Waukesha County records.

ProHealth first announced plans to build the cancer center in May. The organization expects to begin construction this fall for the cancer center, and plans to open the facility in January 2015.
