The Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation has received a $5,000 grant from The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to continue its Pet Stabilization Program.

NIDC collaborated with The Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission to offer low cost services for pet owners in targeted Milwaukee zip codes. For $12.00, pet owners could get a combination of services, including spaying/neutering, microchip implant, and/or a rabies vaccination. The $12.00 fee went toward acquiring a City of Milwaukee pet license. 103 families signed up for the program.
