General Growth Properties Inc. has sold a shuttered Renaissance Hotel next to Oakbrook Center to an investment firm that plans to renovate and reopen the property as a Le Meridien hotel.
RockBridge Capital LLC plans a $21 million revamp of the 172-room hotel, which closed last year and sits just east of the shopping mall in west suburban Oak Brook, according to a RockBridge news release. The Columbus, Ohio-based hotel investor said it expects to reopen the hotel next fall.
