The Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership will host its annual Manufacturing Matters conference on Thursday, February 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hyatt Hotel in Milwaukee.
The event will include a keynote presentation from Dan Ariens, president and CEO of Ariens Company in Brillion, about the state’s role in fostering Wisconsin’s manufacturing industry.
With the goal of providing opportunities for learning, networking and collaboration, the conference also includes 24 focused sessions for discussion.
Attendees will have the option of attending executive channel or operations channel breakout sessions. The sessions will address topics like advanced talent management, continuous improvement, training, innovation and updates from Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce.
A lunch will be served at 11:15, with a presentation on driving export success from local manufacturers. A reception and networking will follow the final session at 3:15 p.m.
In cooperation with the Manufacturing Matters conference, the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award Program will be held on Thursday evening at 5:30 at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee. The awards are an annual recognition of excellence in Wisconsin manufacturing.
