Creative Employment Opportunities Inc., an employment agency for workers with disabilities, will move its office from 1421 N. Water St. in downtown Milwaukee to a 2,200-square-foot space in the Bottlehouse buildings in the Schlitz Park complex.
“We’ve found in Schlitz Park a nearby location with similar architectural character, but more importantly excellent amenities especially for hosting educational programs,” said Laura A. Owens, director of Creative Employment Opportunties. “As part of our services, we train businesses and organizations on how to reach, attract and retain one of the fastest growing employment pipelines in the country – the disability community. Schlitz Park’s auditorium and conference rooms will provide a great venue option for this important part of our work and mission.”
The lease brings the Bottlehouse buildings at Schlitz Park to 100 percent occupancy. The two connected buildings have a total of 133,000 square feet of space.
At the beginning of the year, the Bottlehouse buildings were only 56 percent occupied. But the addition of new tenants including the Enthusiast Brands division of The Reader’s Digest Association Inc., My Dwelling and Creative Employment Opportunities, and the expansion of CorvisaCloud, has filled the Bottlehouse buildings.
“The addition of CEO to Schlitz Park enhances our diverse tenant mix of industry leaders and mission-rich organizations that are dedicated to improving education, employment and business development opportunities in southeast Wisconsin,” said Gary Grunau, Schlitz Park president.
RFP Commercial Inc.’s Ned Purtell, partner, and Jenna Maguire, broker associate, represented Schlitz Park in negotiating the Creative Employment Opportunities lease.
