The Milwaukee office of GRAEF has added Laura Giese, to its staff as a restoration ecologist. She has an extensive background in ecological restoration, with special emphasis in forest and wetland areas. Burt Naumann, principal and vice president in the firm’s Milwaukee office, was also re-elected to serve on the company’s board of directors. He has been with GRAEF for 32 years.
Education
The Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa has named Dr. Stephen Hargarten associate dean of its new Global Health Program as part of the College’s new Institute for Community, Population & Public Health. Hargarten will continue as professor and chairman of emergency medicine and director of the College’s Injury Research Center.

Madison Medical Affiliates, has added Dr. Beth Schenck, dermatology physician, to its staff. Schenck will practice at Madison Medical Affiliates’ Menomonee Falls location.
Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls recently added four doctors to its medical staff. They include: Dr. Matthew Bong, orthopedics; Dr.Timothy Fowler, orthopedics; Dr. Stacey Gardiner, cardiology/non-invasive; and Dr. Steven Kroft, anatomic/clinical pathology.
Rogers Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc recently added four new members to its staff. They include: Dr. Jerry Halverson, medical director for adult services; Nezih Hasanoglu, a board-certified addictionologist and family physician; David Jacobi, behavior specialist and clinical supervisor; and Dr, Aruna Tummala, psychiatrist.

The law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that George Marek, partner in the firm’s Milwaukee office, has been elected as club secretary to the Harvard Club of Wisconsin and to the board of directors at the Fair Wisconsin Education Fund.
Milwaukee-based Davis & Kuelthau announced that Rodney Carter joined the firm as a shareholder. He will focus on general corporate, real estate, labor and employment, and commercial litigation.
Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. has announced that shareholder Timothy Nixon has been awarded the distinguished award from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Alumni Association. Nixon is being honored for his successful career and contributions to the university, legal profession and community.
