Bubbler Jump Start on the Weekend

Get a head start on the weekend with the BizTimes Bubbler!

  • Saturday, Sept. 19 Bay View Bash on Kinnickinnic Ave., from Potter St. to Clement Ave. from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.  The festival includes three music stages featuring Avalon Four, The Uptown Savages, and In Black and White. The Demonstration Stage will feature the annual King of Bay View strongman competition as well as a fashion show. A children’s activity area, raffle and silent auction will also be available. Proceeds from the event benefit the Bay View Historical Society for the renovation, maintenance and preservation of the Historic Beulah Brinton House in Bay View.
  • Saturday, Sept. 19 The 9th Annual Milwaukee River Challenge through downtown on the Milwaukee River. Dozens of collegiate and club teams test their stamina and precision on the Milwaukee and Menomonee rivers. The single leg 3 mile Challenge will begin at 25th & Canal streets on the Menomonee River, proceed east to the junction with the Milwaukee River, and turn north to Schlitz Park just below Pleasant Street. The event is free for spectators and participants.

  • Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20 the Cedarburg Wine and Harvest Festival at the Cedar Creek Settlement, N70-W6340 Bridge Rd., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Enjoy festival food, award winning wines, live music, kids activities and fine arts craft fair. Admission to the event is free.
  • Friday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 20 The Milwaukee Brewers take on the Houston Astros in a home series at Miller Park.
